#$%! Cleveland. Columbus ROCKS!
(…put down Cleveland)
I’d like to thank Jeremiah Peschka (twitter | web) for inviting me to speak at the Columbus SQL Server Users Group November meeting tonight. Through technical difficulties with Live Meeting (their end) and the oncoming symptoms of the flu (my end) I think it went off pretty well. The slide deck and queries are available on my Presentations page. I’ve also added a listing and link for the recent Quest Software sponsored DMV Breakfast With The Experts I was a part of with Buck Woody (Microsoft), Kevin Kline and Brent Ozar (Quest Software), and Louis Davidson (Compass Technology).
Wow, I was nervous when Jeremiah originally asked me to do this a few months ago. I never would have thought that I’d have 3 talks under my belt by then, and that one of them would be with those four amazing individuals I just mentioned. I was told that this would become an addiction and it quickly has. I’m heading down to the bus station tomorrow morning to teach the transients about SQL Server Administration Best Practices. I will be handing out free candy to keep their attention. (…put down transients.)
(…put down the unfortunate offspring of database clowns who ignore best practices and are an abomination.)
I can attest to the fact that those bus station denizens are gonna be some lucky folks. The presentation tonight, once we got it rolling, was informative *and* entertaining. Thanks!
