I’m an author of sorts. Just like Stephen King I feel like I’ve been clipped by that same late model panel van that almost got him. Turns out it was just the after effects of editing the first chapter by my co-author.

I’ve not written either for this blog, the book I am working on with Louis Davidson, or MSSQLTips for a while now due to a wicked case of writer’s block. What fixed that? Barack Obama and my dog’s ovaries.

I’ve been documenting my favorite music releases since my first album in 1981. Thank Baby Jebus my music tastes have improved. Here is a wrap-up not of 2008, but rather the intervening years between 1981 and 2007 just in case I lose my Mead binders along with my Star Wars figures and old Playboy magazines in a house fire.

It’s getting harder to remember when there was such a thing as downtime. We used to end our work days and go home to relax. Now we fire up our Professional Persona for the SQLverse and dig in after hours.
